Originally marketed as Black Pearls, and Black Pearls are what a lot of people still call them; however, they are not black. They came in a range of colors greens, blues, grays and reddish browns. The highest valued color is a dark green gray, with rose’ overtones, called Peacock. There are also Aubergine, French for eggplant, a dark purple, and pistachio used to describe a yellowish green.
